JOHN STROMME ART GALLERY

... on a casual basis and continued to do so throughout a career in insurance. After he retired in 2008, John began painting in earnest, secured a small studio in the back of a restaurant in the Granary District of McMinnville, Oregon where he painted and sold his work. His hallmark was painting with two hands. John has painted several murals for local McMinnville businesses and started a number of galleries for his work in the downtown area. He moved to his current location on 3rd Street about three years ago and recently opened his gallery to over thirty local artists.

John paints a broad range of subjects including portraits, abstracts and landscapes in oil and acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas or birch cradle board. He also paints in wide variety of styles, such as Expressionism, Impressionism, Realism and multimedia Abstracts.
